About
Open Prompter is a teleprompter for people who already write in Markdown. Point it at a script in iCloud Drive, an Obsidian vault or any Files location and it reads the file as it is: no pasting, no importing, and edits made elsewhere show up live.
On-device voice tracking follows what you actually say, so the script moves when you do. Mirror mode flips the text for beam-splitter rigs, and the app records you with the front camera and can save the video right next to the script it came from.
It is free and open source under the MIT license, made by an independent developer. There is no account, no analytics, and the app makes no network calls of its own.
